About | Our Values
Transmitting and listening to each other on air, insulated by miles of airspace and by way of only voice, is an essential but at the same time very limiting means of communication employed by many users in aviation. What if we were able to share face-to-face communication, in an open and intimidation-free environment, so all experience levels could be in the same place at the same time, learning about and from one another? Wouldn't that be somewhere you want to be? Wouldn't that be something you would want to be a part of? We like to think so.
We are all part of something much bigger as a whole than its individual parts. Therefore to be as prepared and as safe as we can be, we must appreciate what the entire picture looks like. To us, this picture is one of a community, fitting the very definition of the word. "Community -a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals." Sums it up pretty well, don't you think?
To get the very best out of ourselves, we must commit. It starts with preparation, and ends with a safe outcome, be that landing with a plane full of safe passengers, solving a traffic conflict, responding to a distress call, unloading the precise amount of fuel into the wing of a waiting airliner, or ensuring every runway light is functioning. Let's all commit together to a more inclusive and safer aviation industry.
